I am very fortunate to work with the team at 39 Degrees North. We are a small software company who specialize in creating GIS solutions mainly for Government entities. We utilize ArcSDE server and HTML5 technology to build cutting edge web applications. Being a small company, I tend to wear many hats depending on the day. I am comfortable jumping from role to role as needed. I have found that I do have a strong passion for customer service and giving the clients and users of our websites the best possible experience. I like to write, create and define processes, manage teams, and interact with people. I love to know how the websites work and can troubleshoot issues for clients and users. 39 Degrees North is an unique company with an unique approach to customer service.

I have recently moved from my position as a production manager in the GIS department to a sales role. I am currently taking care of our GIS clients who do not currently have active projects. I am very fortunate to have been able to participate in some classes from Dale Carnegie. I am very excited about this role, but I do have to admit that this is completely different for me. My 2009 goal this year is to create loyal customers and raving fans of our products and services.

I oversee a production staff of ten technicians and ensure that our GIS methodologies are up to date and being used. I also manage projects from start to finish and participate on the tech support line answering phones calls from clients who have questions or problems. My main focus is parcel conversion and 911 data creation for phase 2 911.

I was a Project Manager for a brief time. During that time I managed a 911 project from start to finish. I left the role when there was a need for me to move laterally to the Production Manager position.

This is a transitional job for a technician to be classified as while learning how to manage projects. During this role, I worked closely with the technicians and the project managers. I created data, wrote methodology documents and reports. I also corresponded with clients so that they knew the status of their projects. During this transitional period I was assigned to a senior GIS person to mentor me and teach me how to run a successful project.

I was a technician for The Schneider Corporation. I created data for cadastral, public works and 911 projects. I also managed a team of peers for a couple of years teaching the younger more inexperienced technicians how to create data.

I was a manager for Steak N Shake for two years. In those two years I climbed from a shift manager to a General Manager. I also did a few months of opening stores as a restaurant manager.
