Provided provincial leadership for numerous government initiatives including housing, legislation and income to ensure that mental health issues were kept in the forefront.Program Director, Adult Psychiatry (1998 – 2001)Program Director, Forensic Psychiatry (1994 – 1998)Led a team of up to 335 staff in the clinical and administrative operation of acute, rehabilitation and forensic psychiatry including community operations. Provided leadership and direction in the development and implementation of strategic plans, inpatient and outpatient clinical programs, and standards for patient care and evaluation methods. Hired, trained, coached and evaluated union and non-unionized staff. Managed a budget of approximately $21 million. Liaised with governmental agencies and stakeholders provincially and nationally in the mental health field.
