About Denise Read
On top of a stage creation activities, ASLSQ Entertainment provides to include in film, theater, music . and event. In addition, it also provides educative programs for young students of all ages. Drama, interpretation, mime, body language and rhythmic creation are part of the program. Sign language is used a dramatic expression media in the experimentation of artistic expression.I work on my new small business as ASLSQ Entertainment this year and also research for the funds for my new business, musical, acting and film projects. My goal: Future site plan will be in Victoria, B.C., Canada, ASLSQ Entertainment now wishes to reach a more global audience and create partnerships with the world communities, Deaf or not. During this year, I focus on the interpreter funds, edit the better linkedin, make the new business cards, develop my update website, create some more short films, work on workshop plans, develop a Twin Brothers and Romeo & Juliet in ASL full feature projects and prepare for GoFundme, Indiegogo and Kickstarter.

For more than 20 years, my commitment had a major impact on the Deaf community Culture in Quebec and in Ontario. First known as an author, composer and performer of rhythmic songs in sign language, I am now recognized as a multi-talented artist. I have written, produced and performed in shows where hands poetry, mime and drama are put together to create an original and singular mode of expression.

In 1997, I created the Theatre des Mains company that is exclusively dedicated to promoting the Deaf culture through scenic arts. The name, Theatre des Mains, which means Theatre of the Hands, is directly related to the importance of hands in every Deaf comedian's performance. In 2012, the Theatre des Mains has been transformed into the new name of the company as Silent Partnership Productions (SPP). As for the reason, the music, theatre and film are similar with "threesome" into the production. Every production is presented in sign language and is supported by simultaneous translation in French, for LSQ sentences, and in English, for ASL sentences. This technique allows reaching of a larger audience in both deaf and hearing world. The two sign languages, LSQ and ASL are the heart of company's artistic mission. Productions are not limited to classical theatre and film either. All kinds of performances are presented: dance, poetry, mime, stand-up, tragedy and comedy are all disciplines that are experimented through sign language. Music also stands high on the list of elements used by the company; percussions synchronized with the action on the stage can become a strong supporting element.
