I am the Office Ambassador/Legal Administrative Assistant in the Edwardsville, Illinois office for Polsinelli PC. Polsinelli is an Am Law 100 firm with more than 825 attorneys in 20 offices. My position is unique as I not only provide advanced secretarial and administrative support to a team of attorneys, but I also facilitate overall operation of the department/office to ensure efficiencies in the day-to-day operations of the office. My administrative duties vary daily and include, but are not limited to, fostering positive attorney and staff relationships; cultivating positive relationships with clients; interacting with firm-wide supervisors and managers in various departments; and organizing events, i.e., holiday luncheons, etc. I enjoy my position as it demands time management skills, professional skills sets, and leadership skills to provide and promote the goals of our clients, as well as promoting values of diversity, inclusion and growth among my colleagues. I learn something new every day from my peers. My first position in a law office was the receptionist. I quickly moved from receptionist to LAA to Office Manager. I have owned/managed four restaurants. Entrepreneurship/leadership is definitely in my DNA.
