After a fulfilling career in IT, Project Management, and Business Analysis, I chanced upon the opportunity to join the Marketing and Communications department at BAYADA Home Health Care. Seven wonderful years working for a company whose mission of “compassion, excellence, and reliability” rings true. Below is a summary of my work there that ties directly into my current consulting business.Oversaw the hiring process for 40+ new staff at all levels: directors, strategists, creatives, and freelancers. This included job postings, candidate interviews, and onboarding of new hires. Prepared 50+ pitch decks that helped generate new business and expand relationships. Translated BAYADA’s value proposition, business concepts, and strategies into easily digestible presentations that highlighted the company’s unique capabilities. Created content/messaging and prepared slide presentations for thought leadership conferences, internal department meetings, training classes, and Board of Director meetings. Managed the Marketing department budget and expense reconciliation. Negotiated all software contracts. Provided ongoing oversight for department training, technology, and process improvements. Defined a new organizational framework with redesigned roles and reengineered processes to help transform Marketing into a “sought after” strategic partner that achieves desired business outcomes. Facilitated annual planning meetings with business partners and chaired the Spanish Translation Advisory Committee.

Created slide presentations for university and vocational instruction including a course on the basics of Interior Design, a college survival guide, and a work-life balance seminar. Prepared presentations for physician seminars and conferences as well as milestone events such as travelogues and celebrations.

Change Management For a large business transformation project, implemented a comprehensive Change Management framework for leadership alignment, stakeholder management, communications, education/training, and organization alignment.PMOImplemented a Project Management framework based on the principles of Curtis R. Cook (Just Enough Project Management). Created 50+ templates, forms, and reports to support the project management framework. Created a department PMIS website to support the project governance methodology.

Established a PMO for prioritizing and tracking company-wide IT projects. Implemented “best practice” project management methodology including a library of easy-to-use templates. Conducted formal project management training sessions and mentored 40+ employees. Managed a team of nine Project Managers to deliver a 12-project, $15M portfolio. Implemented key PMO processes including: project initiation, financial control management, management reporting, and risk, issue, and scope change management.

Managed the PMO function and creation of all project management materials. Implemented PricewaterhouseCoopers life cycle methodology, a comprehensive library of methods for planning and managing enterprise IT projects and programs. Facilitated company-wide IT Project Priority and IT Steering Committee sessions.

Facilitated 100+ Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions to gather business requirements for cross-departmental computer applications. Managed the IT Training and Web Standards functions. Directed staff in designing the company's internal/external websites. Served as editor-in-chief of the department’s IT quarterly newsletter.
