Many of us are Veterans: WE WILL SUPPORT THE MISSION OF OUR UNIFORMED BROTHERS AND SISTERS. All of us are Americans: WE WILL HONOR OUR NATION’S WARRIORS HERE AT HOME, AND SUPPORT THEIR FAMILIES WHILE THEY FIGHT FOR US ABROAD. We are brothers. We will never put ourselves above our mission, we will never allow personal considerations of any kind to interfere with the honorable and dignified performance of our mission, and we will treat our fellow Warrior’s Watchmen as the brothers and sisters that they are. Many of us are Vietnam and Cold War Era Veterans. ABOVE ALL: NEVER, EVER, WILL WE ALLOW THIS GENERATION OF HEROES TO BE TREATED WHEN THEY COME HOME AS WE WERE TREATED WHEN WE CAME HOME. . NEVER AGAIN WILL AN AMERICAN WARRIOR BE SCORNED, OR IGNORED. WARRIORS’ WATCH RIDERS VISION STATEMENT: THE WARRIORS’ WATCH RIDERS ENVISION A DAY WHEN EVERY MEMBER OF THE UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES, AT HOME AND ABROAD, AND THEIR FAMILIES, FEEL APPRECIATED, HONORED, RESPECTED AND LOVED BY THE CITIZENS THEY RISK THEIR LIVES TO PROTECT. The men and women of the United States Armed Forces are the finest generation of young Americans that our country has ever produced. They are the strongest and yet most merciful, the fiercest and yet most welcomed, the most dreaded and yet most compassionate, the deadliest and yet most moral warriors in history. As of June 30, 2008, about 1,427,546 men and women are on active duty in the United States Armed Forces, with an additional 1,458,400 in the seven reserve components. fisherhousewi.orgA Fisher House is a "home away from home" for military and veterans' families to be close to a loved one during hospitalization for an illness, disease or injury. Currently, 8,000 Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans are traveling to the Milwaukee VA medical center for treatment of their wounds and injuries. Veterans and their families living beyond 50-miles from the Milwaukee VA hospital are eligible to stay for free at the Fisher House if they need to overnight.The Fisher House program recognizes the special sacrifices of our men and women in uniform and ensures that they are provided with the comforts of home in a supportive environment. Due to this need, the future Milwaukee home will be one of the largest built in the United States of America.

We also work closely with schools throughout Wisconsin to ensure that the heroic stories of our veterans are built into the curriculum so that future generations will fully appreciate the sacrifices made on their behalf. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCEAs the last of the Greatest Generation approach their final curtain call, we are witnesses to a tremendous loss as we embrace a precious opportunity. One WWII veteran passes away every 90 seconds. They take their stories and history and enormous bravery with them. But many are among us still. Our national history dates back to WW1 with mothers packing care packages for our troops, visiting the wounded in hospitals, and assisting with Homeland Security. Locally, Wisconsin's Mission for our Chapter follows closely to that of our fore founders. We support each other, our veterans, pack care packages for our troops, welcome home our sons and daughters who have been deployed, and provide comfort to those families who have lost a child while fighting for our country. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life of the US Armed Forces personnel and their families who reside or transit the State of Wisconsin, and to create cooperative partnerships between the US Military communities and involved or supporting local civilian communities in Wisconsin through support and morale-boosting programs and services. The USO of Wisconsin is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. In 1984, we were incorporated at a charter center of the USO organization. We are solely supported by the generosity of private citizens, community and veterans organizations, corporate gifts and foundations grants.
