Fisher House Wisconsin is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization which helps to fund some of the expenses associated with operating the Milwaukee Veterans Administration (VA) Fisher House. The Milwaukee VA Fisher House, located on the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center grounds, provides free, temporary lodging to eligible loved ones of military members and veterans receiving VA approved, extended medical or emergency care. Fisher House Wisconsin works in collaboration with the VA to assist with fundraising, volunteering and operational expenses.
The Milwaukee VA Fisher House was gifted to the VA by Fisher House Wisconsin in 2016. Fisher House Wisconsin is a community partner aligned with the national Fisher House Foundation. To date, the Fisher House Foundation has helped to establish more than 80+ Fisher Houses across the United States, Germany and England.
