"If I can learn Mandarin, I can learn finance."That was my strange mantra of reassurance when studying for my Series 7 in 2016. Before that moment, I was the culture and languages kid that had taken formal college courses on Tibetan Buddhism, North Korean History, and even Slavic Vampires. But FINANCE was the one topic that felt foreign and unattainable to me. Over the years of working at Fidelity, I've learned 2 certainties: 1) there is no single archetype of a person "in finance" and 2) everyone deserves to know how to manage their money (big piles or small piles).
