Classes designed for beginners or those seeking a mellow and accessible class using lots of props. Focus is on proper alignment of foundational postures and breathing techniques intended to quiet the mind, calm the body, and cultivate inner focus and body awareness. All classes are meant to be inclusive, with modifications provided for those with limited ranges of mobility and flexibility. Classes taught included Candlelight Yoga, Gentle Kripalu Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Chair Yoga, and All Levels Pay-what-you-can Donation Classes.

Rhode Island

Organized and/or promoted studio events on social media and in the local community. Created monthly studio email newsletter and organized and promoted Community Classes (monthly classes whose proceeds supported a local non-profit). Responsible for greeting and checking-in each student, processing transactions in MINDBODY software prior to class, introducing new students to the studio, and assisting students in selection of class packages. Also updated/organized student info including new student forms, waivers, and email contact list. Restocked towels, mats and water/beverages as needed.

Conducted research in the field of pyschoacoustics, specifically the human response to low-amplitude sonic booms. Performed subjective tests investigating the effects of environment, varying acoustic stimuli, and subjective test methods on human annoyance. Acoustic stimuli were selected from numerous measurements taken indoors and outdoors during flight tests orchestrated by researchers at both NASA Langley and Dryden Flight Research Centers.

Hampton, Va

Assisted NASA researchers with laboratory investigation of window rattle due to impact of low-amplitude sonic booms. Also aided with set-up, calibration, and removal of hundreds of transducers for supersonic flight test at Edwards Air Force Base which quantified the structural response of a modern home subject to varying levels of low-amplitude sonic booms.

Cambridge, Ma

Assisted with tractor noise sound quality project: experiences included extraction and simulation of tractor component noises for jury test, preparation of magnitude estimation training materials, and assistance with set-up and execution of jury tests. Also compiled and performed preliminary evaluation of jury responses, prepared data for statistical analysis, and provided company "Lunch and Learn" presentation on sound quality and demonstration of jury test.

Whippany, Nj

Provided acoustical consulting services to clients in areas of HVAC noise and vibration control, industrial, environmental and architectural acoustics. Duties included performing T60, FSTC, FIIC, vibration, sound intensity and sound pressure level measurements, as well as determining compliance with applicable local and state noise regulations. Also developed noise models of emergency generators, HVAC systems, auditoriums and other building interiors (both new and existing), and calculated expected acoustical performance of mechanical equipment and industrial noise control products. In addition to preparing written reports with recommendations for noise and vibration control, client services included attending both design team and one-on-one meetings, as well as provided witness testimony.
