Key duties are to validate the Outpatient Patient Tracking List (OPPTL) for Cardiology, Diabetic Medicine and Endocrinology. • Using the Patient Administration System (PAS) and EPR to determine whether the patients have been seen, what triage instructions have been provided and book the relevant appointment. • Building ad-hoc templates for additional capacity provided by the services, and manage their outpatient backlogs. • Integral to this role is an excellent understanding of the 18 week target and the Trust Access policy. • Booking all diagnostic Echo’s within 6 weeks to avoid breaches and potential penalties; since taking on this OPPTL we have not had any non-compliance. • Using Excel on a daily basis to manage my OPPTL. Accessing available reports on the Trust Data Warehouse (ERICA). • Ensuring the Access Policy is applied fairly and fully investigate patients to make sure the correct outcomes are given. • Liaising with Service Managers & Assistant Operations Managers on a daily basis, therefore have built rapport and developed useful working relationships.
