    On the 16th of March 2020 Curaçao entered a lockdown related to the Covid19 crisis. This resulted in a humanitarian crisis as over 50.000 people on the island found themselves without sufficient income to provide for themselves. As secretary of fundashon Kòrsou Solidario i Duradero (KSD) Dennis co-launched the initiative of "Samenwerkende Hulporganisaties Curaçao" bringing together 6 NGO's (Caritas, Unidat di Bario, Aliansa, Rotary Club of Willemstad, de Voedselbank and KSD) to provide food aid for those in need. During these initial months of the crisis this cooperation raised more than 3 million ANG and provided more than 25.000 food packages for families on Curaçao (each food package could sustain a family of 3 for two weeks).During this period Dennis acted as a board member and full-time project coordinator. As a project coordinator Dennis was responsible for guiding the buildup of the operation, coordinating over 250 volunteers (producing around 2000 food packages a week worth aprox 180K ANG) and maintaining contacts with other NGO's, businesses as well as with government departments. Also Dennis co-designed and guided the central registration of those in need of food aid and helped set up and manage a contact center with over 20 call center agents working remotely in shifts. After this period control of the operation was transferred to the Voedselbank. The Voedselbank still continues this operation together with the Red Cross Curaçao providing food and financial aid to those in need because of the Covid-19 crisis. Dennis continued as a board member of Samenwerkende Hulporganisaties Curaçao until October 2020.

Project leader and architect for the development of a sales portal / POS system that enabled UTS third party dealers to sell UTS products and services without having direct access to the back office systems. This portal used Drupal CMS in the front end, the Business Connector as a message broker / interfacing platform and various back office systems (SAP, Comverse, Platypus etc.). Interfacing connections were made using ao the RFC’s, SOAP, JDBC, Java and http protocols. Besides Dennis (project leader and ABAP specialist) the team consisted of two Java / PHP developers, two graphical designers and one SAP functional SDMM specialist.Team member in the preparation and implementation of Comverse, a new OSS/BSS (operations support system / billing support system). Responsible for all interfacing with the Comverse SAPI layer (Java based) as well as functioning as an application architect for the more complex interfaces between Comverse and other back office systems of UTS (SAP, CRM, provisioning systems etc.).
