Provide expertise in the area of building safety standards. Perform forensic investigation of faulty construction in support of construction claims. Review construction plans and specifications to determine their compliance with a wide spectrum of building codes.

My position reports directly to the Mayor and is responsible for the administration of all phases of the city’s Department of Building Safety and Facilities Development as guided by our stated mission. This includes a range of responsibilities relative to facilities development, construction management, maintenance and the operation of the majority of the cities buildings, which total in excess of 1.2 million square feet. Additionally, I serve as Nampa’s Impact Fee Administrator; as such I facilitate the maintenance of the city’s Capital Improvement Plan and all related ordinances and Advisory Board responsibilities.

This department includes the administration of Nampa's building safety standards in a full service building department, along with the care and maintenance of most of the City's one million square feet of buildings.
