As a harmonic distortion researcher at ASML, I was in responsible of designing and implementing advanced measurement systems for harmonic distortion characterization in 50-60Hz power grid systems ranging from 0.3MW to 1MW.My primary responsibilities included the following:• Analysing and interpreting measurement data, as well as presenting results in technical reports and publications.• Researching what causes harmonic distortion in power grids.• Working with cross-functional teams to raise awareness of harmonic distortion and develop solutions.• Staying up to date on industry developments and identifying new measurement techniques to improve performance.One of my major achievements at ASML was the harmonic distortion characterization of three separate wafer steppers from the series XT and NXT. The findings of this study assist ASML in lowering harmonic distortion, which results in improved power efficiency, lower error probability, and a 10% reduction in CAPEX (Capital Expenditures) due to the need for less conductor area.The ASML electrical design team recognized this achievement, and it became company lecture material. This aided the company in improving the performance of its semiconductor machines, resulting in increased efficiency and productivity.Another significant accomplishment was successfully completing a cross-functional research project. This project required close collaboration with teams from various departments, and my strong communication and leadership abilities contributed to a smooth and successful implementation.Overall, my time as a Harmonic Distortion Researcher at ASML was extremely rewarding, and I was able to make a significant contribution to the company's mission of developing cutting-edge technology for the semiconductor industry. I am proud of my contributions and their positive impact on the company and the industry.
