In June of 2013 I changed my status from Western Regional Director and Corporate Broker for Henry Schein PPT to Independent Contractor. Prior to working for Henry Schein I spent 17 years as a the Managing Partner of a Multi-Specialty Dental Practice that I started shortly after graduating from dental school. When I left my group dental practice there were 6 partners and 7 associate dentists in our 26 chair facility. The next 15 1/2 years I spent working for the Practice Sales Division of Henry Schein where I completed over 300 plus transactions, the most in the history of the company. Loving my job as a dental practice and commercial real estate broker I wanted to continue working but I did not want to continue with the management and corporate responsibilities of being one of the 3 Directors in the company. As an Independent Contractor I still work exclusively with Henry Schein PPT but I am only responsible for my clients. Even in this short time I realize this was the best decision I could have made. It has provided me with additional time to work just with my clients in a less stressful environment yet I still have the support of Henry Schein Company I can also get back to something else I enjoy, providing transition seminars to retiring dentists.
