I completely renovated the Fine Arts Center in 1999. I won the City Of New Orleans Renovations Award in the year 2000 because this building was formerly the old Fine Arts Theatre, the oldest movie theater in the South. After renovating it, it became a popular Bed & Breakfast and Banquet Hall, hosting parties, banquets, weddings children's shows and Jazz Sessions. It was the location for scenes from the movies "Ray," starring Jamie Foxx and "Kingfish," starring John Goodman. There was staff of 25 housekeepers, cooks, servers, bartenders and maintenance crew. There, I prepared my World-Famous 3 G's Gumbo, (3rd Generation-Recipe), and Stewed Shrimp, for which I am famous!
