Born and raised in Camaguey-Cuba, I started dancing at the age of six in the Academia Nacional de Baile in Cuba and later become member of the Ballet Folklorico Nacional de Cuba. When I was thirteen years old I travelled world-wide with the national team. Eventually, we visited Miami and I made the decision to relocate to the states at the age of fifteen. I lived in Miami for seven years during which time I attended medical school and nearly made a career out of podiatry, but in the end decided to follow my true passion in life and focused on my dance career. I then became the #1 Salsa instructor and performer winning six national awards and became widely known as the "Mambo King" before relocating to Seattle to open up a Cuban restaurant and give my dance career a change of scenery.You can catch me instructing beginner class at "Spicy Viernes" Friday nights at China Harbor.
