Mr. Sanchez is an Associate Vice President and Practice Lead for Condition Assessment in Northern California. In this role, he is responsible for growing the practice of managing, assessing and rehabilitating aging infrastructure for public and private water and wastewater systems. This practice encompasses a broad field comprising asset management for data-driven approach to risk prioritization, to condition assessment using invasive and non-invasive methodologies, to maintenance and rehabilitation of both pipelines and facilities to extend useful service life.

Mr. Sanchez led business development for alternative delivery of heavy civil infrastructure in water, wastewater and recycled water. This work comprised municipal, State, Federal, private development and industrial markets geographically spanning CA, NV, OR, WA, CO and HI. In this role, he was responsible for developing business strategy and partnering on design-build (DB), progressive DB, design-build-operate (DBO), construction management at-risk (CMAR) and public-private-partnership (P3).

Mr. Sanchez is a Vice President and member of Kennedy/Jenks’ Leadership Team. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, he serves as the Northern California Client Director spanning the Central Valley, Bay Area, South Bay and Central Coast regions. In this role, he is responsible for all business strategy, sales, growth and client service within the municipal, State and Federal water, wastewater and recycled water markets. This work includes strategic planning and implementation, business partnerships, diversifying into new clients and markets, and leading teams for major projects in conventional and alternative deliveries. On projects, he serves as the Principal-in-Charge or Project Director on planning, design and construction services developing strategy, achieving client satisfaction, ensuring technical excellence in services, and delivering strong financial performance while managing project risks.

Mr. Sanchez led client and business development for AECOM’s Water Business Line in Northern California. This responsibility encompassed market segments in water and wastewater treatment, pipelines and pump stations, water resources and flood control, program and construction management, and design-build across a geography spanning the Bay Area, South Bay, Sacramento and Upper Central Valley. In this capacity, he was principally charged with (1) developing strategic clients, (2) expanding and diversifying into new clients and markets, and (3) leading multi-disciplinary teams of local, regional and national resources to provide full lifecycle services – from program management, planning, engineering, construction management and decommissioning. Mr. Sanchez was an active member of the national water and wastewater team and provided mentorship and guidance to staff, while actively recruiting top talent for local, regional, and national assignments. His involvement on projects included roles as Principal-in-Charge, Program Manager, Senior Technical Expert or Technical Reviewer.
