As long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by data. Always having been eager to learn, I already knew at a young age that my eventual job would involve statistics. Being a first-generation student, I never took studying at a university for granted. It was a goal that I had to achieve by putting in my best effort and developing a wide interest in everything that happens in the world aroud you.During my time studying Economics and Business Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam I really enjoyed learning new things and further developing skills during the many different courses. Additionally, I liked to challenge myself to achieve a satisfying result. Because of my achievements, I had the opportunity to share my enthusiasm and knowledge by organizing lectures in varying fields of study regarding economics and econometrics, which was an awesome experience that has taught me a lot about myself.My Master’s in Data Science and Marketing Analytics really suited me well and there I found out that combining programming skills with knowledge about statistics enables you to carry out very interesting research studies. Using these skills I have worked a few years with a renowned Dutch political opinion pollster, Maurice de Hond. I built a model with which election results can be predicted more accurately.Now, I’m ready for a new challenge where I can apply my gained experiences and knowledge and where there would be an opportunity to further develop my skills. I am enthusiastic, goal-oriented, able to lead and coach and like presenting in front of a group and writing (statistical) reports.
