CurrentGeneral Electric Transportation acquired RMI into their company.•Develop an expertise to GE/RMI’s product in order to provide expert technical assistance to our Customers.• Excellent oral and written communication skills • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Outlook, Excel, Work, and PowerPoint • Self-starting initiative •Cross-train on all GE/RMI software products and train customers. Primary product line is AS/400 based systems used in the international market place. Web-Strategic Products, Multi-Modal.-based applications that communicate with the AS/400 (Shipper Connect, Rail Connect Interface, e-BOL (shipper billing), mCrew (onboard handheld computer), RC Yard (graphical interface).•Travel to Railroad/Shipper's facility to install, train, and support new TMS/MCREW/ShipperConnect (web-based applications for the Railroad/Shippers/Customers to manage railcar movements), revenue, EDI transmissions, Inventory and more.•Answer, evaluate and prioritize telephone calls, voice-mail, e-mail and in-person requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking and other related technologies to resolution.•Interview users to collect information about issues and assist user through diagnostic procedures to determine source of error to resolution.•Handle simple/complex issues by recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow-up for routine/advanced user issues, referring Application issues to our programmers and technical staff.•Log and track calls using problem management database, and maintain history records and related problem documentation.•Analyze and evaluate incident reports and make recommendations to reduce help line incident rate.•Consult with programmers to explain software errors and/or recommend changes to programs.•Eligible for support phone/beeper rotations.•Other activities and duties as determined by GE/RMI.
