City of Lafayette Econmic DepartmentResponsible for development and administration of all community and economic development programming and initiatives including tax abatement, six tax increment financing (TIF) districts and other projects and public financing. Developed strategies for property development and growth management in collaboration with numerous civic and development organizations to further mutual goals and objectives. Responsible for all department communication and public relations including representation of city and administration positions on issues as assigned. Oversee implementation of the City of Lafayette's Weed and Seed program in funded by the US Department of Justice. Manage and supervise an office with three professional staff and one administrative professional. Work in tandem with the Community Development Department on joint projects involving housing, neighborhood development and social service initiatives. Position provides staffing and administration to the Lafayette Redevelopment Commission.

Responsible for administration of a local not-for-profit 501 c 3 community economic development organization under the direction of a 12 member volunteer board. Increased revenue and fees over 90%. Researched, prepared and implemented all grant and fund raising activities. Recommended policy, budget and planning guidelines to the board. Responsible for design, implementation and operation of activities including business attraction and retention, housing finance, microenterprise training and financing, employment and organizational identity programs. US EPA Brownfield Assessment Grant - While employed with the Greater Lafayette Community Development Corporation (GLCDC) awarded $200,000 for an area wide assessment of real and perceived brownfield sites in and around the Wabash River Corridor as part of an effort to development and enhance the Wabash riverfront. In tandem with the President of GLCDC, composed and developed the full application. Also coordinated the Tippecanoe Brownfileds Coalition, a consortium of the cites of Lafayette and West Lafayette and Tippecanoe County, as lead applicant and fiscal agent. Researched and analyzed data for over 100 Indiana communities. Assisted with formatting and writing of the TQOLI workbook. Assisted with the Montpelier Housing Study. Analyzed and interpreted census and housing data. Wrote, formatted and compiled study using various word processing, desktop publishing and spreadsheet programs.
