As a Data, Policy, Community Action Coordinator at the Group Violence Intervention Program, I use my Master of Public Administration degree and my extensive nonprofit management experience to support the city's efforts to reduce violence and crime. I collaborate with various stakeholders, such as law enforcement, community leaders, social service providers, and researchers, to collect, analyze, and communicate data, and best practices that help inform the program's strategies and interventions. Before joining the city, I served as the Director of Operations at the Memphis River Parks Partnership, where I oversaw the daily operations of its park management and the related vendor services for the organization. I also worked as the Interim Executive Director at Urban Strategies Memphis HOPE, where I led the implementation of a comprehensive community development initiative that provided housing, education, health, and employment services to low-income families. Through these roles, I developed strong skills in operations management, event management, editing, and youth development. My passion is to leverage data, community partnerships, management and leadership, and community-based, people centered action to create, equitable, restorative social change that improve the quality of life for the residents of Memphis.
