In my current role, I focus on developing a feature-rich web application designed to streamline various aspects of general contractors' work, including certified payroll processing, benefits management, 401k administration, scheduling, and training. I actively contribute to different layers of the application, such as the React frontend, PHP server, and SQL database, while always keeping an eye on enhancing the user experience.Working closely with my fellow developers and cross-department leads, we collaborate on creating new features and addressing bugs to ensure a smooth and efficient operation. I often take the initiative in designing and architecting new tools and features for both clients and internal use, and I'm not afraid to bring in additional help when tackling large projects.One of my notable contributions has been refining and expanding our internal component library for the frontend, which has greatly improved our development process. I also focus on refining our codebase by spearheading code style and linting rules, leading to a more homogenized and easy-to-maintain system.Recognizing the importance of efficiency, I took the initiative to optimize our Git CI/CD processes, successfully cutting action time and reducing costs for our company.

As the composer, band leader, promoter, producer, and sound engineer, I take on a variety of roles in leading my band. Of course, this venture wouldn't be anything without the fine musicians filling its ranks! Through this experience, I've honed valuable skills in team-building, project management, and effective communication, which translate seamlessly into a collaborative and dynamic development environment.

During my coding boot camp, I began with zero coding experience and quickly gained proficiency, landing my first job a month after graduation. I started with JavaScript and jQuery, and progressed to React, Node server backends, and SQL databases, while also diving into algorithms and data structures.Driven by curiosity, I went beyond the program's scope to customize my development environment, enhance proficiency with shell scripting, and learn TypeScript, even refactoring all assignments and milestone projects from JavaScript to TypeScript.
