Accountabilities:  Provision of advice to Managing Director all financial and operational aspects of the business Full responsibility for all finance, commercial, legal aspects of the business Achievements  Fully reconstructed accounting system to ensure 3 way reporting possible for the business. This included overhauling the system and accounting and administration staffing.  Implemented short term cash flow initiatives to improve company liquidity.  Implemention of profit and cashflow forecasting models.

 Provision of advice to Managing Director and Board on investment and divestment decisions. Presentation to Board of Financial results, forecasts and strategies. Full responsibility for Project Construction, Joint Venture Strutures, Hotel Accounting, Property and all other Accounting, Management Information Systems, Statutory Accounts, Taxation Records and Returns, Company Secretarial, Budgets, Outlooks, Internal procedures and Financial Reports.Achievements  Net profit tripled from previous year, and exceeded budget for the first time for many years. Strong profits achieved in most years since joining the company. Identified underperforming assets and introduced strategies to improve returns. Prepared feasability and financially oversaw a joint venture for conversion of 320 room hotel to 127 apartments. Successfully negotiated the sale following conversion. Updated Computer models developed for investment monitoring and reporting standards set for assessing investment and divestment opportunities in properties and other investments. Upgraded computer system including security requirements to ensure efficient production of information and enhancement of Management reporting processes. Key role in investment / acquisition decisions, and worked with the Board in setting strategy. Performed due diligence on potential acquisitions, and hotel developments.

Accountabilities Coordination of Finance, Accounting, Project and Commercial activities at nine Ansell plants, based in Thailand, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and India, covering over 114 staff, and value of production of $300m. Preparation of guidelines and review of annual regional budgets Benchmarking between plants and KPIs / improvement initiatives Financial planning, project control, purchasing controls, commercial analysis and General Management of Plant whilst GM on leave. Coordination with worldwide marketing regions Provide Commercial support to Regional Vice Presidents, including monthly reporting, commentary, and forecasts. Integration of new acquisitions into the Company’s reporting process. This was a key role, as the Company acquired five businesses in the Asian region during my time in this role.Achievements  Introduction of standard monthly manufacturing reporting package, which has been adopted by Ansell worldwide Introduction of Hyperion reporting systems, throughout Asia Successful coordination of a multi million dollar major contract legal dispute. Introduction and implementation of Ansell reporting systems (including standard costing) for new plants acquired in Thailand, Malaysia and India. All implementations achieved on time. Introduction of regional formal benchmarking and KPI comparisons Arrangement of credit and foreign currency facilities at major international banks for companies newly acquired Coordination of regional re-engineering project, and Financial Shared Services, as well as other Projects.
