I manage three teams in our acquisition organization. These teams include annuities subsequent payments, annuities transfer of assets, and retirement enrollments. In my first year managing I made several improvements in each team for them to have the tools, resources, and support to be successful. I helped redesign how we do our work by eliminating waste on our transfer of assets team, and our new business and internal sales partners. For my six sigma green belt project I uncovered a major inefficiency on a different team in our organization. After conducting research I found that using optimal cognitive recognition technology(OCR) to eliminate data entry work, and use an automation program that will streamline the process of work. To advance my excel knowledge I volunteered to take on the utilization, and quality reports for all of the retirement operations teams. By working with my excel mentor I was able to create an excel utilization workbook for both of my annuities teams. There was not a true way to track performance for these teams until now. Lastly, my teams EQ rating was 85%, which surveys all of my associates on how well I am doing, our leaders, and the company.
