Hello my name is Derek Haynes and I am 25 years old. I have been a Welder/Machinist for the U.S. Army for 5 years and will have 7 years experience by the time I get out. I will be getting out of the Army in August of 2019. I am proficient stick welding, MIG welding, TIG welding, and welding with the oxy/acetylene torch. I know how to use manual mills and lathes. I have been responsible for designing and building many different types of items for customers. I have a good work ethic and absolutely love what I do. I enjoy to watch a lot of little pieces come together to make something functional and see my designs come together. I worked as an automotive technician for 4 years before I joined the Army and enjoyed doing that as well. I am a very fast learner and I love learning how to do new things. I work well with others and like to help people. I love the outdoors and would like to have land of my own. Being able to support my family through welding/manufacturing would be ideal and is a long term goal.
