Working within Reed Smith's Risk Management Team, I assist partners from the firm's 30+ offices across the globe with business intake. Responsibilities include identifying and resolving both legal and commercial conflicts of interest, reviewing and proposing engagement terms, and performing due diligence on corporate clients and adversaries.

In this role, prompted by restructuring caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, I provided support for projects with the Babst Calland Energy and Natural Resources Group. Working under the supervision and oversight of Babst Calland attorneys, I performed many of the same functions as I did previously as an Associate, including preparing oil, gas, and mineral title opinions and assisting with various mineral title issues and due diligence concerns.

As an associate within the Energy and Natural Resources Practice Group, my work focused on transactions and identifying, analyzing, and solving issues clients faced while expanding their operations. Between my 2L and 3L years at Penn State Law, I worked at Babst Calland through the firm's 12-week Summer Associate program in the Pittsburgh office. As a summer associate, I completed memos and research projects for various practice groups. Additionally, I worked part-time during my 3L year and through part of the summer while studying for the bar exam.
