I am Area Tech Lead for Google's API and SDK efforts for 3rd party companies (Developer X) guiding the technical direction and long-term strategy for this area. Previously, I ran the Firebase development team (200+ full-time employees), spanning multiple offices and a wide range of jobs and functions. We built products used by millions of developers and serving billions of devices every single day, including Crashlytics, Firestore and Firebase Cloud Messaging. These products drive many of the biggest apps in the world and drive significant revenue for external developers, as well as for Google. I also co-lead the Google Waterloo site, a tech site of over 1500+ full-time developers and the largest Google office in Canada. In this capacity, I provide coaching and support to local teams, guide people's careers and opportunities, and help land impactful projects for our developers.

I managed, led and wrote code for a variety of application teams, primarily focused on mobile. Developed things like Gmail for Mobile (Web, Android, iOS, Blackberry), Docs, product search, Shopping/Offers, etc. over the years. In this capacity, I managed teams up to ~30 full-time employees working with cross-functional partners in product, UX, marketing, GTM, QA, etc. to deliver a wide range of products with high quality and usage. Many of these products have over 1B users all over the world. Our teams designed, built, and scaled them to meet those needs over time.

I am the Chair of the Board of The Kitchener-Waterloo Bilingual School (KWBS). We are a non-profit private school focused on academic achievement in both English and French language. The school has ~350 students from JK - Grade 8 with an amazing reputation for culture and academic achievement. The board provides strategic direction for the school and oversees a large budget towards staffing, capital investments and future planning.

Founded a new Motorola office in Waterloo, growing it from ~8 FTEs to ~25 FTEs before Motorola was sold to Lenovo. My roles involved landing the team, establishing project ownership and scope, hiring to meet our demands, and creating connections with the main offices in the Chicago and Sunnyvale. Our teams primarily focused on gesture detection and other efforts around low-powered sensors and smart interactions (among other things). Our implementations shipped on several Motorola phones, including the original Motorola G release and were demo'ed internally and externally on multiple occasions. Upon the sale of Motorola, I led the transition effort locally to ensure that we delivered on our commitments during the wind-down and helped some of the team members land new roles at Google or other companies.

Involved in the rewrite of the codebase from VB to C#, wrote the first MAPI client for D2L, chart rendering, and other random things.
