In my Category Manager role, I partner with multiple business lines in the sourcing of products and services that help in allowing Fidelity to continue to compete for the privilege of serving millions of customers. Negotiating contracts with competitive pricing, appropriate risk allocation and flexibility help to ensure that Fidelity can remain a leader in the financial services industry of tomorrow.Throughout my career I’ve been lucky to have many great opportunities to expand my skills and knowledge, deliver high quality assignments and collaborate with fantastic teammates and business partners. These are many of the aspects that have made my career fulfilling and drive my engagement each day. I’ve been a part of some truly great teams during my career, and as a leader I try to replicate the atmosphere that helped make those teams superb. I’m a big believer in the feelings of belonging and trust, and seek to develop these feelings whether I’m a leader or teammate. Having succeeded in a variety of different roles, I view myself as highly versatile, and am open to any challenge that comes my way. Those that have worked with me over the years consider me to be committed and dependable. I’m naturally curious, and enjoy breaking things down, figuring out how they work and then explaining what I’ve found. Not every day is pressure packed, but when the pressure is on I’ve been known to calmy deliver, all the while keeping things light. Lastly, one of my greatest pleasures is meeting people and developing relationships. I’ve always been great with people, which I credit to a high degree of empathy, a customer mindset and being a good team player.
