Collaborated with hospital management team as an internal consultant, performing in-depth analysis of procedures, policies and systems, and recommending and directing improvement efforts. Spearheaded statistical analysis, clinical flow and time studies, kaizen events, and Lean and Six Sigma implementation for all projects collaborating with multiple departments and analyzing multiple internal systems such as the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.• Directed several projects that improved patient care, including reducing surgery patient wait time by 30% and improving the operational efficiency of the Pre-Surgical Center for Anesthesia • Lead several process reengineering initiatives, including improving the Length of Stay (LOS) of two units by developing a process that increased patient throughput, and piloting an ideal discharge process that decreased readmissions, and was eventually implemented in other departments • Provided key financial analysis to determine the practicality of a bridge to heart transplant device in the hospital, resulting in the purchase of parts for the devise and a payback realization in 10 months of purchase• Improved vendor relations, coordinating and leading a major strategic effort to improve the interaction between the Patient Access Call Center and the University of Florida Physicians Vascular Clinics
