Ivan is president and a co-founder of NOVACES. He is a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, American Society for Quality certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Theory of Constraints Jonah. For 17 years, he managed process improvement assignments with Fortune 500 companies and with the U.S. government, including British Petrol, ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, United Health Services, Primecare, Sharp Healthcare, Veterans Health Administration, Navy Medicine, U.S. Department of Transportation, US Army, and the US Navy. Ivan also has extensive experience in the maritime industry, including process improvement projects with LNG tankers in the Far East for Energy Transportation Corporation, and he has directed similar efforts for the American Bureau of Shipping, American Heavy Lift Shipping, Crowley Maritime, Baltec Ship Management, Columbia Ship Management and Pacific Gulf Marine. He is a member of American Society for Quality, International Society of Six Sigma Professionals, European Six Sigma Club, Association of US Army, Navy League, Royal Institute of Naval Architects, Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers and he serves on the Ship Production Processes Panel for the National Shipbuilding Research Program. Ivan earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering and an M.S. degree in Engineering Management from the University of New Orleans.
