Insights from my models caught numerous failures, and helped flag problematic assets, saving our customers money in maintenance costs and downtime.I also developed a postprocessors package that turns model.

I debugged, tested, and optimized fan and temperature anomaly detection models to predict failures in mining equipment, then deployed these models to production. I also helped migrate over legacy anomaly detection models, and ensure consistent behavior and performance.

I researched and developed the preprocessing steps for biometric features extracted from a large sleep study of over 2000 patients, and I implemented an LSTM-RNN to predict these patients' sleep stages. My predictive model is the backend for a wearable device that assists clinicians in diagnosing sleep apnea and other sleep disorders.

I taught 10-15 week chess courses for elementary through high school aged students, adjusting the curriculum based on the experience of the students. I also coached competitive chess players. During this time, I played professionally and made it to the Top 200 in the United States, and placed 3rd in the 2018 California State Championship.
