CurrentAs a CAD Technician at Blew and Associates, my day-to-day can typically involve some of the following:Creating detailed and accurate preliminary survey maps that meet standard ALTA requirementsRevising the signing surveyor's certificate to match client specificationsReviewing an average of 15 Schedule-B II documents per project, with some projects requiring the review of over 100 exception documentsPlotting and reviewing legal descriptions for the boundary based on the title commitmentFollowing up on client requests from previously sent preliminary surveysUpdating prior surveysResponding to client questionsI am proud to work at Blew and Associates and appreciate the clear expectations and supportive team environment. My extensive knowledge of CAD software commands and general computer usage enables me to assist my colleagues with their projects and contribute to the overall efficiency of the team. Within 8 months of being hired, I've already submitted almost 150 preliminary surveys, despite having had little prior knowledge of surveying before I started and a 2-month training period. My work is often praised and I am highly motivated to expand my knowledge of surveying thanks to my time at Blew.
