Marketing & Event Coordinater of one of Kent's fastest growing tourist attractions.

Responsible for the marketing of the award winning Visitor Centre of Britain's Oldest Brewer. Maintain and organise events at 'The Old Brewery Store', Shepherd Neame's event and music facility in Faversham. Maintain both the Visitor centre and Old Brewery Store presence online via websites and Facebook. Design, produce and organise distribution of promotional material and literature for the Visitor Centre, and co-ordinate joint marketing initiatives with other attractions and organisations. Undertake role of Duty Supervisor as required at events.

Responsible for all aspects of Marketing and Event Management at this world famous visitor attraction. Devised new branding, multimedia presentations, interpretation panels and visitor facility improvements. Initiated Children's Club, Driver Experience, Dining Trains and Local User Railcards from planning through to implementation. Worked closely with the Operations and Commercial Managers to ensure we presented the best possible visitor experience.

Head-hunted to develop new post-production facility in this well established facilities company. Planned and built online and off-line edit facilities using then state-of-the-art 1" and Betacam capability.

Joined pair of ex LWT creatives in new post production venture in Central London. Planned and developed the first Hi-Band to 1" post production facility in Europe. Worked for many blue chip companies on corporate and broadcast productions including NBC, CBS, Marks, WSTV, Royal Mail, Thames, LWT as both editor and recording engineer. Also involved in commercial production and music promos including Wings, Thin Lizzy, The Cure, Undertones etc. Responsible for several overseas shoots including Germany, France, Belgium etc.

Joined as freelance cameraman working on various productions after gaining experience on London cable station 'Greenwich Cablevision'. Soon taken onto staff and trained in all disciplines of TV production. Eventually promoted to Production Manager co-ordinating move from small studios in Kent to larger premises in London. Had responsibility for mobile production unit which we used in France, Germany, Greece, Northern Ireland and throughout the UK. Left to join CETA Video to get more experience of single camera units and ENG (then a growing market).

Worked in Department of Ships under Dr Alan McGowan. Responsible for day to day care of models in the ships collection, research for outside organisations and individuals, helped plan new gallery displays with research and interpretation. Assisted in the AV department when required. Co-ordinated loan of models and artefacts to TV and film companies, other museums etc.

Service and installation engineer for top of the range car wash machine manufacturers. Worked throughout Southern UK territories installing all kinds of car, bus and lorry wash machines. Decided to leave company when they planned to move operations to north of the country.

Joined the GPO just after leaving school and underwent 3 year apprenticeship before settling on role as maintenance engineer maintaining switchboards and phone systems in homes and commercial premises. Left when I realised I was becoming obsessed with the thought of my pension - there was a lot more of the world to see before i needed to worry about that.
