I solve problems through creativity and hard work. As a student in the MISM program at the BYU Marriott School of Business, I have learned how to meet deadlines while pushing boundaries. I have learned several programming languages implementing client and server side functionality. I have also developed skills in project management. My dream is to use my skills to solve people's problems that could be made easier with technology. This dream started when I was young. When I was in my early teens, I saw a need for better organization of my family's recipes, and so I typed up a clearly laid out recipe book. Since then, I've used technology to help with small needs that I've seen. Outside of the classroom, I work on personal projects, one of which is a scheduling app to be used by an athletic team at BYU. Besides school, I enjoy filling my life with meaningful activities. I have played the piano for several years, performing in countless recitals and competing in a few competitions, winning one year and placing in another. My second year of college, I tried out for BYU's Dunk Team: an acrobatic team specializing in flipping, tricking, and stunting. We perform at several basketball half time shows throughout the year. In addition, we perform twice a week at elementary school assemblies in the Utah County area, inspiring the kids to be strong mentally, physically, and socially.
