System Verification and Validation• Responsibilities for this position changed significantly over time, with the team size ranging from 3 to 7 individuals. All roles involved setting team direction, identifying test strategies and contributing an equal share to test activities. • Tested the BlackBerry security framework with low level white box software tests within the BlackBerry Core Operating System test group. Implemented thorough automation test plans within Robot Framework using the C, Python scripting languages.• Tested the BlackBerry Balance feature for initial releases of the BB10 OS. Received an Exceed rating for 2012 performance leading this team, which had initiated fundamental design changes to some of the feature components. The team had a very high defect find rate compared to other verification teams within the organization. • Led the BlackBerry browser performance initiative for 4 years. Developed the initial test automation using Java, Groovy scripting languages. Measured/optimized web browser performance through changes to the RIM relay infrastructure for pre-BB10 devices. Developed new automation scripts for the Webkit browser on classic BlackBerry and BB10 OS. Identified areas for browser improvement by reverse engineering Apple and Android browser stack via Wifi packet capture and review. Implemented Webkit sanity and stress testing in effort to harden the Webkit browser. • Performed BlackBerry Infrastructure System Testing. After a full value assessment of the test program, significantly altered it and introduced the Corporate Power User test program.
