I have more than twenty-five years of experience in intellectual property (IP). While self-employed as an IP litigation consultant, I conceived of and founded Panovia Group LLP in 2009. As a patent attorney, electrical engineer and entrepreneur, I counsel others in harnessing their creativity and talent, assisting in the pursuit of their personal and professional interests.With experience including several years as a patent examiner at the USPTO and eight years at a top-tier DC litigation firm, I have been active in most aspects of IP counseling and prosecution; litigation, with an emphasis on IP defense, including claim construction, non-infringement, invalidity and extensive experience in complex patent analyses; some experience with AIA post-grant procedures; and licensing and other business contracts, among others. My near-term goal is to return to my roots, with a focus on the important business of original application drafting.As a former student of pre-medicine and certified EMT, my interest in the field of medicine continues, including IP issues relating to pharmaceuticals, FDA approval and medical devices.Specialties/language: IP fields include telecom, electrical, software, medical devices, mechanical, internet, business methods.
