I run Channel1450.com ( https://vimeo.com/348171892 ) , a company in central Illinois that covers mostly high school sports extensively. No we are not a radio station, no we are not a television station, we are a website. We shoot highlights and interviews and put together special video packages for the website that is available through twitter, facebook and our very own app. We have no time limits or constraints on our highlight packages, we provide the complete story of athletic events in our area. As the Sports Editor for the Breeze-Courier, it is my responsibility to cover all the local sports for six high schools in Christian County Illinois. As the only reporter and editor, it is my main responsibility to cover Taylorville High School athletics, who play in the highly-competitive Central State Eight conference. I also cover all sports for Pana High School, Central A&M High School, Morrisonville High School, Edinburg High School and South Fork High School. My job also consists of paginating every day's Sports Section, which runs anywhere from 1-3 pages every day for our daily newspaper. I work with Photoshop and QuarkXPress every day, as well as News Edit Pro. Covering football, volleyball, soccer, cross country, basketball, wrestling, golf, bowling, track and field, baseball and softball for all six high schools allows me the opportunity to work with athletes in three different IHSA divisions. I take great pride in my photographs from every game and I strive to provide the best pictures from each game for the readers in Christian County. My favorite part of the job is being able to speak with high school student athletes and coaches after each game, meet or match, take what they say and make produce a story that allows my readers to get an in-depth look at the games, meets or matches that I cover.

I wrote stories for everyday front page news, as well as covered the court system in Christian County everyday. Other areas I covered every week were school board meetings, park and village board meetings, our local Entertainment section, our Business section and our local feature section each week which includes a Neighbors piece, highlighting local citizens for their great work in the community. I also helped run the Breeze-Courier's Facebook page, updating it daily with photos and other ways to keep our followers involved and interacting with our website. I also built the Breeze-Courier's Youtube page and uploaded videos to it about once a week.
