The front office system is Charles Rivers Trading System, back office system is Hi-Portfolio, price feeds are from Bloomberg and FT, messaging protocol is Financial Information eXchange (FIX), and auto trade-matching from Salerio.* Implemented a project for Credit Rating Monitoring, where massive data is automatically downloaded daily from Bloomberg through the ActiveX API. Data is processed through our own financial model and uploaded into our system. The information is used for Credit Risk Management for various securities types. This project achieved great saving on data cost, estimated at least USD 300K per year.

* Provided business management solutions that include Competitive Intelligence, Business Process Reengineering, Balanced Scorecard, and Strategic Management.* Gained experience in preparing business management proposals, marketing and sales to small-medium businesses (SMBs).

* Contributed in a small team as the Risk Technologist to implement an enterprise-wide risk management system in OUB. The risk management system was Panorama from SunGard Trading and Risk Systems. It was an integrated solution for risk management, income simulation, comprehensive planning, and financial forecasting.* Business job scope includes defining, monitoring, analysing OUB’s Trading and Banking Books, and in the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) Internal Model Validation of risk management systems and processes (New Basel Capital Accord) for OUB. Other tasks include due diligence of risk management systems in Europe (Zurich and Frankfurt), preparation of Request for Proposals, and vendor management.

* Front-line treasury operations role as Market and Credit Risk Management Analyst, where knowledge in IT and financial skills from my MBA gave me the opportunity to contribute quickly. Developed Credit Risk Management System to manage a bond portfolio of over SGD 280 million. Experience includes in-house developed VaR (Value at Risk), KMV, Riskmetrics, and Creditmetrics.* Wrote program to generate Gaps Report for cash flow management, using Visual Basic and Excel pivot table for datamining. ODBC drivers were used to interface to the various data source systems from several different physical locations.

* Systems and Database Administrator for the main Treasury system used in OUB 24/7/365. This enterprise-wide system was used by multiple departments. Spectrum from Financial Software Systems has an UNIX client-server architecture and ran on Sun Solaris with Sybase to store data on a RAID server.* Enhanced and redesigned critical real-time systems in OUB. These include the Rates System, Trade Dissemination System, and Monetary Authority of Singapore’s Electronic Payment System (MEPS on IBM hardware). OUB Treasury, Settlement, Bullions & Futures, and Trade Services departments use these systems.

* Part of a team that developed a major mission planning system for the Singapore Government Air Force, using C++ and Sybase on the UNIX platform. This project won a Ministry of Defence, Singapore (MINDEF) award in 1996.
