She manages the regional internship program, Glass Leadership Institute in New England, assists in communications strategy, and staffs the North Shore Advisory Committee, Board Engagement Committee, and Community Outreach Committee. Deryn also speaks on behalf of ADL New England at events and forums held by partner organizations.

Deryn is the Director of Community Engagement and Communications and manages the school's fundraising and development, the alumni initiative, and community events at EHS in the North Shore and greater Boston area. Deryn is responsible for a portfolio of 1,200+ donors from the $1 level to the $1million level, planning and coordinating all fundraising events, including the annual Gala, with the help of various committees, and working alongside the Head of School and Board President to think strategically about community engagement and fundraising. In her first year as Director of Community Engagement, Deryn piloted the first EHS school magazine and annual donor report, exceeded annual fund and event fundraising goals, closed a capital campaign for the school's brand new Innovation Center, and worked with the development committee to re-design the major gifts program.

Epstein Hillel School is the K-8 Jewish independent school in Marblehead, Massachusetts. At the end of August 2017, with the support of Eli and Bessie Cohen’s family, Cohen Hillel Academy was renamed Epstein Hillel School in honor of a $5 million gift from Arthur J. Epstein.

Job tasks included, Hillel financial accounting and donor tracking, donor stewardship, community outreach, planning and programming, social media and communications, event planning and implementation, coordination of student and alumnae boards, immersive Israel program recruitment, and student engagement.
