'Dan Smith' sounds like the name given to a generic customer in one of those corporate videos you have to watch as a new employee. So, does my common name mean I've had an ordinary background? Certainly not...I'm an adaptive, fast-learning, technically creative nerd with a background in music, audio, management, operations, sales and even coffee-making. I have a natural proficiency for analysis, troubleshooting and problem-solving, along with a passion for training, team building and personal development. I have worked in both large and small businesses, retail and service industries, fast and slow paced environments, in-office and remote, along with running a freelance audio side-business and even performing as a touring musician at times. My job history after college may seem like I entered a career scavenger hunt, I'll admit. Despite the diversity in employers and roles, however, I have maintained a common thread of being customer focused and a strong work ethic throughout. I have earned a promotion or been deemed a subject matter expert at every company I've worked for, demonstrating my ability to learn and excel, no matter the industry or business size. Whether client, customer, co-worker or company, helping others to overcome obstacles and achieve results has been my primary focus in any role I've held.I love learning new things, expanding my horizons and never back down from a challenge. While I continue to expand my personal brand with audio, music and media production, I am always open to new job and career opportunities as well.
