As a Senior Sample Maker at YETI Coolers, I play a key role in developing high-quality prototypes for every soft good released by the company, earning over 20 patents in the process. Collaborating closely with the design team, we rapidly produce prototypes from sketches, scans, models, or even napkins in 2D, 3D, and paper. Leading the prototype shop, I manage project assignments, timelines, and communication with stakeholders while collaborating with factory partners to accelerate the sampling process, streamline procedures, and share techniques. In addition, I design jigs and fixtures for lab testing, small manufacturing runs, and marketing materials.
