The Assistant to the Pardon Advisory Board is stationed at the Wisconsin State Capitol along with the Governor’s Office of Legal Counsel, Duties: • Review and vet new pardon applications for eligibility and completeness.• Create, maintain, and enter information into databases and Excel spreadsheets.• Correspond with pardon applicants, judges, and district attorneys regarding the status and updates of pardonapplications.• Assist with writing memorandum for the Pardon Advisory Board and drafting pardon orders.• Provide other administrative support for the Pardon Advisory Board.

Little Picassos "provides a safe and nurturing place in which to: create, learn about art, artists and art history". Together with my supervisor Leora and another Teacher Amelia, I will be teaching low-income kids to express themselves through many different ways in the arts.

The M4BL 2021 program is a short 6-week program that aimed to provide guidance to Black and Brown activists who want to enhance their activism skills either through a new organization or through their existing organization. The program covers a variety of topics pertaining to instilling leadership into their fellows such as recruitment, retaining a movement, and social media management alongside other important topics such as protecting one's mental health and maintaining consciousness of those who don't hold the same identities as ourselves.

Dane County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) program aims "to be an independent voice for abused and neglected children who are under the legal protection of the Dane County Court System". During this Internship, I worked through an intensive training program where we were trained on the dynamics of a CASA. I was given extensive training and education on different family dynamics and how a CASA fits into a child's interaction with the social work system.Specifically, we were trained on advocating for abused and neglected children and what their process looks like when working with lawyers or social workers. I was trained to make reports on the conditions of reportedly abused and neglected children and their families through interviews and observations. Through this internship, I gained a better understanding of the legal process, specifically for children. Through this unique situation, I also gained knowledge about how COVID-19 also affects children and families as well.
