I supervised Day Treatment, a licensed half-day mental health program designed to meet the needs of youth with significant emotional and behavioral needs. In this role, I provided direct supervision to 8-10 staff; assisted with updates to policies, procedures, and training protocol; completed hiring and onboarding for new staff; designed and implemented program curriculum; assisted with program budget and strategic planning; completed client intake; collaborated with client families, treatment team members, and other community service providers; and led client and staff meetings.I also managed two programs, Treatment Foster Care and Host Homes, and served as the agency representative on a community collaborative.As the Treatment Foster Care Social Worker, I licensed foster homes in both Wisconsin and Minnesota, supervised foster homes and children in placement, completed and guided treatment plans for foster children, and coordinated service referrals. Each month, I planned and led a parent support group for foster care providers, which included a training segment and an opportunity for providers to discuss successes and challenges with children in their care. Other responsibilities associated with this position included assisting with state file audits, agency licensing, supervision and training of student interns, on-call duties, and aiding with the adoption process.The Host Homes program is designed to support youth who are or are in danger of becoming homeless. This assistance often includes placing youth in stable and supportive homes, which are volunteer-based serve as a safe place to fill that gap. Youth are also provided with case management.As a member of the CUFF Implementation Team, I collaborated with other community organizations in order to plan for larger team meetings, organized and reported on program data, developed action plans to reach group goals, coordinated outreach events, and expanded partnerships within the local community.

This position is characterized by supporting adults with a history of mental health or substance use disorders. Work varies depending on the needs of the participant, but frequently involves developing a plan for recovery, providing encouragement, connecting participants to other services as needed, and assisting participants in their development of self-advocacy and growth mindset. This type of support is peer-led, placing responsibility in the hands of participants. As a peer specialist, my job is to walk alongside individuals in recovery as they determine the path that will be most beneficial to their progress.In addition to serving as a peer specialist, I also serve as the minutes taker for company meetings and manage the majority of the company's Google Drive files, including organization of files and controlling access to company documents.Through this position, I have also been trained on the use of Narcan/ Naloxone in response to opioid overdose and am authorized to carry this medication on my person.

In this role, I implemented Applied Behavior Analytical techniques through one on one therapy with primarily preschool- aged children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders. As a Primary Behavior Therapist, I was also responsible for determining clients' programming using the ABLLS curriculum, writing Individual Treatment Plans, and monitoring client progress toward goals. Focus was on improving social, cognitive, and language skills through unique interventions tailored to a child's specific strengths and deficits. The team's aim is to prepare children for mainstream schooling and community involvement by teaching and maintaining skills that are developmentally appropriate for the individual.In addition to Behavior Therapy, I have also designed curriculum for and taught an art class designed to promote fine motor skills, attention, and following of directions, as well as to make the learning experience fun.

Responsibilities of this position involved providing both intensive and post-intensive therapy services to children of various ages and developmental levels diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Focus was on bringing the children up to speed with their peers. Activities included working on social skills, language development, fundamentals like ABCs, numbers, time telling, using money, and many other programs tailored to a child's specific needs. In addition, I frequently took children into the community, allowing them to build real-world skills, such as appropriate behavior in public places, purchasing, interacting with others, etc. Because ASD can present in a variety of manners, each child has different goals, and thus treatments covered a diverse range of skills. No two children are the same, and no two sessions were either. Everyday is a new adventure filled with exciting victories. This job taught me to value seemingly small steps, to see them as the incredible accomplishments they truly are. The children with whom I worked taught me just as much as I taught them.

Duties included greeting arrivals with a smile, taking phone calls, scheduling meetings, training new employees, assisting advisors and other associates in miscellaneous tasks, making copies, paper filing, use of Microsoft Office, notifying associates of the arrival of appointments, responding to emails, retrieving and delivering mail, light cleaning, and extensive organization of the filing system during summer months. Specific to student affairs, I have aided in Freshman Registration on the campus, allowing new college students to better understand the registration process and their options as a student at UW-L. In addition, I have advised students with similar questions over the phone, including transfer students as I possess firsthand knowledge of the transfer process.

As an employee in a BRC "A-rated" food packaging plant, I worked in refrigerated rooms, ranging 30°-42°F during the majority of the shift, which involved placing food into appropriate packaging, ensuring an extremely sanitary work area by cleaning up roughly every two hours, remaining vigilant regarding allergens and potential cross- contamination, watching for any faulty packaging, ensuring the correct amount/weight of products were placed in packaging and boxes, meeting the daily/order quota, and demonstrating to auditors the safety and health standards practiced in the organization.

Working at "The Port" provided much opportunity for independent growth and self-discipline as I usually worked my shifts as the sole employee in the restaurant and kitchen area. Duties included bussing and waiting on tables, preparing and delivering food items, ensuring that the kitchen and dining room remained well stocked with food, paper products, etc., cleaning the kitchen and restaurant, washing dishes, and taking out garbage.

Spending the majority of my employment within the stock department, I was responsible for receiving incoming packages and materials and putting them in the appropriate locations, which was documented using inventory software; consolidating materials if multiple locations existed; pulling materials for other departments and delivering them; running occasional errands for my home department as well as others; ensuring a clean workplace; driving a Crown Wave (Work Assist Vehicle) to retrieve or place materials on tall shelving; and practicing safety by maintaining awareness of forklifts and other machines or large materials in heavily trafficked areas and ensuring that lanes were not blocked.
