I’m a second year PhD candidate at Boston University and part of el Microbial Integration group . I’m interested in synthetic biology research, specifically in building bacterial systems that cooperate with electronics and control systems. I obtained my bachelors of Science from University of California Riverside where I conducted undergraduate research with the Katayoon Dehesh Lab, Vullev Group, and Xiang Laboratory. Starting during the COVID-19 pandemic I pursued self-motivated design and research projects revolving around accessible biotechnology hardware, food science and fermentation. I was involved in scientific outreach though various BMES at UCR events and my own student organization the Riverside Ichthyology Society at UCR.
