About Devon Smith

My interpersonal skills are bolstered by my confidence, maturity, and proven ability to communicate effectively with audiences from diverse cultures. I approach problem-solving with flexibility and have honed my task management skills through experience in professional organisations. As a result, I am attuned to individual, group, and organisational dynamics, enabling me to navigate complex situations with ease.Hard-working energy gives me the ability to take responsibility of a demanding workload and manage multiple and conflicting tasks. High self-motivation comes with a desire to apply astute observation and analysis skills, and intellectual curiosity.I have an appetite for continuous learning as is proven by the qualifications gained throughout my life. This proves that I have the study skills to understand and employ new and complex ideas and concepts.Being an ALT as part of the JET Programme helped developed my outward looking attitude. My desire to immerse myself into new cultures and gain experience living abroad is what has motivated my determination to work live in a new setting again. The friends that I gained, cultural idiosyncrasies that I came to understand, and impact that I made on my student’s approaches to learning have enabled me to return to the UK with incredible stories and a deep sense of pride.
