I was part of the initial development team of the tool before the whole engineering organization joined the project. Contributed to database and system design and helped the team get up to speed with the language and framework used on the project.

Joined the team as a Senior Software Engineer, for the carrier-facing team. With my team, we created account experiences for the carriers looking to join Nuvocargo’s network and also for existing customers. The system included the initial registration forms and the loads manager, which allowed them to get paid and enabled document collection for Nuvocargo.

Part of the development team in charge of maintaining, refactoring, updating, and adding features to easybroker.com, the leading realty CRM in Mexico with presence in over 18 countries, mainly in Latin America. Key projects: I was in charge of the successful migrations from Rails 4.2 to Rails 5.2. I spearheaded the mobile application development using React Native which connects to the main Rails application via an API. Implemented a real-time messaging module using ActionCable. Integrated ElasticSearch for real estate and contact searching, using combinations of full-text search and binary filters. Recently revamped the subscription payment service. Implemented infrastructure-as-code using HashiCorp’s tools, like Terraform and Packer.
