Since beginning work with Mercator, I have worked on various projects. The following is a summary of my work up until now.MMI Geochemical Sampling for Lead & Zinc: Responsibilities were to travel by truck using gps to the sample points location. Upon arrival, I would use a gps to navigate to the collection of sample points in numerical order where I would then take a shallow sample and record my information such as soil horizons, lithology of clasts and any prominent features of my surroundings. Number of samples obtained in a day often surpassed 50 samples.Regional Gold Prospecting Project: This prospecting project was at a regional scale of (179,280 hectares). Day to day responsibilities included creating custom maps in Q gis to find geological feature within target zones and on license which could lead to collectable samples of interest. All sample information would be collected by tablet. At the end of the day I would upload trackways and waypoints from the gps and send off recorded geological information for the database.Regional RC Drill Exploration Program: Responsibilities included, daily drill monitoring and chip logging. Other associated responsibilities include occasionally dealing with contractors with regards to line cutting and construction & plowing of roads. Uploading drill logs and hole logs to company data base, flagging of drill collars, sample delivery to the lab and using a portable xrf to analyze samples were some of the other responsibilities associated with this project. Large Scale, High Density Magnetic Survey:This project was located in 8 Mile Channel, Northern Manitoba and was conducted on behalf of Manitoba Hydro for the Norway House Cree Nation. The purpose of the survey was to uncover metal debris left behind from old machinery and structures used back in the 1970’s, during the construction of the 8 mile channel.

Surveyed a grid for an IP and mag geophysical survey using GPS and a compass. Made sure that communication between line cutters and geophysics crew was maintained to increase productivity. Aided geophysical company in conducting an IP survey as well as mag readings throughout the grid.
