I have responsibility for managing and advising on all aspects of ABInBev’s tax profile in its Africa Zone, which includes international tax matters, transfer pricing, the management of tax audits and litigation, advising on mergers and acquisitions, corporate tax and indirect/product taxes (e.g. VAT and excise duties). The tax function across Africa.

My role had been designed to strategically manage both direct and indirect taxes for SABMillers African operations in 18 countries with over 30 operating entities. The role reported into the Head of Tax: Africa.Responsibilities:Included the development, documentation and implementation of appropriate tax strategies for the region, ensuring that it was.

Managed all indirect taxes in 18 countries with over 30 odd operating businesses;

Managing all indirect tax responsibilities throughout the Africa and Asia region.

Strategic management of Customs and Excise duties within the SABMiller Group. Responsible for compliance reviews and assisting with training to various operations/countries within the group. Also assisted with various excise duty lobbying initiatives.
