I was responsible for co-training, evaluating, and supporting our adult volunteerand staff counselors to serve LGBTQ youth in crisis on Trevor’s crisis services programs as well as the 988 support hotline. I was responsible for communicating clear skill, knowledge, and behavioral expectations to volunteers and delivered specific and actionable feedback to develop counselor competencies, while maintaining accurate data across multiple platforms and supporting continuous improvement efforts on the team.

I handled the outreach implementation of a government grant where we updated folks on the up to date facts about taking PrEP/PEP and supporting our clients with accessing PrEP/PEP. We held events and went to populated areas where transgender/nonbinary folks frequented to do this. While my area was outreach, I also supported my colleagues with case management which involved housing them if they were homeless, supporting with rehabilitation when our clients were released from prison or detention centers, and supporting clients with finding work if they were unemployed. I supported in building the backend CRM system used to complete our intake forms and house all of our client data.
