Responsible for coordinating the efforts of a small team of structural design personnel as well as being an individual contributor for assigned structural engineering projects. Mentor and train younger engineers in technical and project skills. Assist other design engineers in their work and check design calculations. Check and approve design drawings for completeness and clarity. Function as Engineer of Record as required. Perform complicated design problems in accordance with accepted engineering standards using both manual and computer methods with minimum supervision. Develop new ideas or alter existing designs to meet special needs where no standard application will fulfill project requirements.

Estimate, design, schedule, oversee all phases of new construction from initial conception through successful completion and generate capital expenditure versus projected savings reports. Prepare or direct preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies and designs for project. Evaluate engineering operations, make recommendations and assist in the facilitation, project management and implementation phases of various projects nationwide. Calculate cost and determine feasibility of project based on analysis of collected data. Inspect construction site to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering plans, specifications and construction and safety standards. Use computer assisted engineering tools and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents. Direct construction and maintenance activities at project site. Analyze reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics and other topographical and geological data to plan and design projects.

Responsible for developing and maintaining design criteria and specifications, drawings, material lists, tests & construction procedures for civil/structural designs. Draft detailed dimensional drawings (2D & 3D) using computer-aided engineering tools and techniques. Evaluation of site specific requirements for all power plant designs and structures like conveyors, hoppers, silos, belt feeders, truck wash, scales, etc. and establish project specific design criteria. Perform engineering and field inspection for problem assessments, recommendations and solutions. Address and resolve complex civil engineering and structural non-conformance issues with recommendations as they relate to the design and installation of foundations, buildings, structures, and equipment. Develop and maintain geotechnical and site survey/topographical specifications including the interpretation of results and specification of foundation designs. Review Consultant/Vendor documents & A/E designs for compliance with design criteria. Responsible for the execution of design projects in time and within budget.

Designing, analyzing, optimizing and drawing the structural and geotechnical sizing requirements of the patented SAFE foundations for various structures enlisted below: (i) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) ­ Navigational Aids, Approach Lights, Guidance Signs, Weather Sensing Systems. (ii) Various Department of Transportations (DOTs) ­ Overhead Sign Structures, Cantilever and Center Mounted Sign Structures, High Mast Poles, Traffic Mast Arm Poles and Highway Light Poles. (iii) Mobility Technologies, Inc. & Traffic.com ­ Camera Poles for Intelligence Traffic Systems across major cities in USA. (iv) Idle-Aire Technologies Corp ­ Truck stops terminals all across USA. Altering and updating the software to incorporate the latest specifications. Coordinating with the rest of the team members ­ installation crew, fabricators and administrative staff in solving any technical queries. 2/4 Drafting 2D and 3D drawings Understanding and analyzing the soil borings and subsurface geological report.

Analyzed and designed various span (planar/box beam/trichord) sign structures including check for fatigue, connections and base plate as per AASHTO 2001 specifications. Designed Traffic mast arm poles, Camera poles and High mast poles as per state DOT's specifications.
